The idea that each corporation can be a feudal monarchy and yet behave in its corporate action like a democratic citizen concerned for the world we live in is one of the great absurdities of our time–

About This Quote

In the late 70s, Arthur Miller wrote this quote, “The idea that each corporation can be a feudal monarchy and yet behave in its corporate action like a democratic citizen concerned for the world we live in is one of the great absurdities of our time.” In this quote, Miller is saying that it makes no sense for an organization to act like a small government because organizations are impersonal organizations that do not care about individuals. Instead, companies should act like companies that are just trying to make money for their shareholders.
